Lise Watier Expression Collection // #ExpressionLW // Spring 2015

It seems that the only signs of spring thus far are the bright yet wearable colours that grace Spring 2015 beauty collections. Available now is the Lise Watier Expression Collection for Spring 2015 which aims to help women unleash their creativity, spontaneity and individuality. From matte lipsticks to colourful eyeshadow palettes and even a multi-purpose face brush - this collection is a ray of light on a cold day. Here are three pieces from the collection that I've been playing with:

Lise Watier Palette Expression Eyeshadows ($42)

It's unfortunate that the Lise Watier Palette Expression Eyeshadows are limited edition. Despite the crazy-looking greens, the palette is impressively versatile. It may not look like it, but there's three wearable colours (satin pink, iridescent yellow, satin charcoal) and two trendy colours (satin aqua and satin turquoise). The creamy powder shadows are pigmented but easily sheered out for a softer eye look. All of the shades except the yellow are semi-matte, so they bring light to the eyes without looking overly glittery or dramatic.

I made an attempt at re-creating the eye look from the Expression Collection campaign images. All over the lid, I applied the pink. A dab of the aqua in the upper inner corner and the yellow on the lower inner corner. I mixed of the charcoal and the turquoise for a subtle green-grey colour in the crease and on the lower lash line. Finally, in the centre of the eye I patted the yellow to bring some illuminance to the look.

Lise Watier Expression Blush Trio ($38)

Swatched - Rouge Plumpissimo Lipstick in Rose Nu, Expression Blush Trio

It's such a shame that the Lise Watier Expression Blush Trio is also limited edition. I'm a sucker for multiple blush colours that are blended together in the pan for an ombre effect. The combination of the iridescent brown-rose and peachy orange bring such a healthy glow when applied to the face. Similar to the eyeshadows, the blush is pigmented yet blendable, so I like to use a fluffy duo-fibre brush to apply the product to the face.

Lise Watier Rouge Plumpissimo Lipstick in Rose Nu ($22)

Last but certainly not least is the Lise Watier Rouge Plumpissimo Lipstick in Rose Nu. Fortunately, product is a release of a new colour of an existing product rather than a limited edition item. Rose Nu is a brown-rose with a hint of orange, an awesome option for a MLBB (my lips but better) lippy if your colouring is similar to mine. Lise Watier claims that the formula is hydrating, rich, creamy and silky and contains plumping agents to make the lips look fuller. I couldn't agree more. That being said, the creamy formula isn't particularly long-lasting, so I find myself re-applying every 3-4 hours.

Put it all together and you get a radiant look with a spontaneous pop of colour. This collection is perfect if you're looking to get creative with your makeup but still want to keep things natural and soft. Overall, I'm thoroughly impressed. I would suggest picking up the two pretties that are the blush trio and eyeshadow palette before they are no longer available!
