Jealous Body Scrub // Coffee & Coconut

First body scrub to break the internet? I think so. With 13.2K instagram followers and a whole lot of online influencers raving, Jealous Body is a company out of Vancouver, Canada that sells one product - an all natural coffee face and body scrub made with premium coffee, organic cold pressed coconut oil, raw brown sugar, sea salt, vitamin E and minerals.

The Jealous Body Scrub ($17.95 for 200g, ships worldwide) has many claims and there's no bulls poop or hard-to-pronounce chemicals in this product - each ingredient has a purpose.

- coffee grounds to stimulate blood flow, reduce cellulite, eczema, stretch marks, age spots, psoriasis and acne
- brown sugar and sea salt to exfoliate
- cold pressed organic coconut oil to moisturize and hydrate
- vitamin E and minerals to protect and repair the skin

To apply the product, you basically wet your skin and take a hand full of the stuff and rub it all over your face or body or both. Rub it in circular motions and let it sit for 15 minutes and then rinse off the product. It's quite messy (i.e. all over the shower and sink) but well worth the results (and the smell of coffee in your washroom).

On the skin, it feels like a very abrasive scrub. Surprisingly, the coconut oil and dampened skin helps the coffee to stick onto the skin rather than falling off immediately. While I don't have cellulite or psoriasis or eczema and I don't have particularly bad acne or redness, one thing is for sure. The Jealous Body Scrub does a hell of a job at exfoliating and moisturizing. After rinsing off the scrub my skin felt like new. Now weird dry patches around my nose or on my legs, just baby's butt skin all over my body. Typically, after a shower, I feel the need to immediately slather body butter all over. However, after using the Jealous Body Scrub my skin already felt hydrated.

Overall, I'm extraordinarily impressed by the Jealous Body Scrub and would highly recommend. While I can't say anything about it's eczema-fighting and blood circulating, it does a hell of at rejuvenating your skin to a smooth, hydrated state. The ingredients are quite simple and natural, which makes me wonder if I could DIY it myself at a lower cost. But for now, I'll be sticking with Jealous Body Scrub as my go-to in the shower.
