THEFACESHOP Herb Day 365 Cleansing Foam in Lemon

A clean face is a happy face and lemon is the scent of cleanliness. So, it seems fitting that THEFACESHOP would have a cleanser that smells like lemons! I've been using THEFACESHOP Herb Day 365 Cleansing Foam ($6) for a couple weeks now... and the verdict?

THEFACESHOP says that its Lemon Cleansing Foam eliminates dead skin cells and make-up residue. Absorbs oily skin with lemon extract and Herb Clean Complex. In the Herb Day 365 range is also available in Mung Bean (!! - smoothing), Peach (softening), Acerola (brightening), Aloe (for dry skin) and Spearmint (for men).

My face is an oil slick, so I thought it would be fitting to try the Lemon Cleansing Foam for all skin types. The product comes in a generous tube. When squeezed out, it's a creamy consistency. When gently smoothed onto damp skin, the cream foams into a very light, almost moisturizing feeling mousse.

The Cleansing Foam smells lightly of lemons - almost like household cleaning products - and I mean this in the best way possible. It's refreshing and not overbearingly sweet or sour. My eyes are typically sensitive to scents but this one doesn't bother them.

After rinsing my face with lukewarm water, I notice that my skin feels soft to the touch and not at all tight or dried out (this is my face's reaction to most cleansers). I can't say that it keeps my face less oily than usual but I can say that it gets off all of my face makeup. I can't say that it removes eye makeup because the product packaging says to avoid contact with the eyes and I'd like to avoid irritating them.

Overall, this is a great gentle and refreshing cleanser for both day and night that leaves my skin feeling clean (but not squeaky clean). As a bonus, it smells like cleanliness and lemons.
