With the entrance of nail art (studs, ombre rainbows, and cartoon characters), the French manicure is quickly being phased out of nail routines. But if you're not into the nail art craze and like to keep it simple, Guerlain just launched the it's La Lacque Couleur in 368 Baby Rose ($27) with its Spring 2015 Colour Collection Les Tendres .
Baby Rose is a sheer pink - perfect for any and all occasions. The polish is opaque in 3 to 4 coats and dry time is average compared to other polish brands. I like to wear two coats of polish, as I don't mind my natural nails peeking through. The polish is self-leveling so even if you don't build it up to full opacity, it isn't streaky. The polish chipped in 4 days without a top coat which is slightly more than average on my nails.
Overall, the Guerlain La Lacque Couleur in 368 Baby Rose is slightly better than your average polish but nothing to write home about. If anything, the French mani colour reminds me that plain and simple nails look good, too.
