MEMEBOX Superbox #38 Detox Care

By now, you probably know what MEMEBOX is... it's a Korean themed subscription box that varies in prices and sizes. For the month of October, I was sent the MEMEBOX Superbox #38 Detox Care ($29).

The card in the box mentioned something about how "summer's rolling around" but it's 1 degree Celsius outside and I'm pretty sure it's more like "winter is coming". Regardless, detox beauty is  always on my mind. My pores are prone to storing lots of gunk, so a box full of products dedicated getting rid of breakouts and blemishes with skincare is a good fit.

I haven't tried any of these products yet (*slaps self on hand*) but I'm trying to regulate my skincare routine so the purpose of this post is more to share what's inside. If there's something that's particularly noteworthy, it'll show up in a future favourites or empties post.

Likke Detox Scalp Care Gel ($8)
This all-natural hair product claims to scrub away dead skin cells for a healthy, clean scalp. It's to be used pre-shampoo on dry hair. My scalp gets kind of gross during the winter so this will come in handy quite soon. I'm sad that it's such a little "full-size" product.

CNKCOS Special Day C Focus Essence ($20)
A powder in the cap is released into the liquid when you open it up. The entire bottle is meant to be used for 7 days straight and contains Vitamin C and 100% galactomyces for clear, supple skin. Again, I'm a little underwhelmed by the product sizing but if it does exactly what it says, perhaps I'm mistaken.

Borntree Lemon Tea Tree Black Head Nose Pack ($3)
Yet another tiny product....I assume these will be like the Biore pore cleansing strips. My nose seems to be the nastiest place on my face, so I'm looking forward to trying this.

Duft & Doft Lime Detox Nourishing Hand Cream ($12)
Hand cream doesn't particularly excite me but it smells like limes. Yum. I feel like "detox" is just a marketing word. I don't get how a hand cream could possible have detoxifying qualities (and I don't think my hands need any detoxing).

Vicioni Pore Minimizing Detox Essence ($29)
I currently have 3 different pore minimizing products opened. This one in particular is very similar to the Philosophy Total Matteness Primer. It feels silky smooth on the skin and works in a similar pore-minimizing, oil-controlling manner. Plus, this single product makes up for the entire value of the box.

Secret Key Lemon D-Toc Peeling Gel ($16)
Last but not least is a peeling gel. The lemon scent is.. tantalizing. I LOVE LEMONS. Meant for enlarged pores and uneven and dull skin, I kind of sort of can't wait to try this out. Unfortunately, I tested it on my hand and it's not like a peel-off mask. Instead, your massage it around on your face until the product balls up and you wash it off.

Overall, I really like the lemon/lime theme of the box. However, not all the products are actually detoxifying. Some are sure to be used (like the pore minimizer, hair treatment, and peeling gel) while others were kind of meh. This box is perfect for those who want more skincare.
