What's in my Makeup Collection? [Before]

I'll admit it - the amount of makeup that I have is getting a little out of hand (re: #hoarderstatus). I'm a beauty blogger but there is no doubt in my mind that this is excessive. I have more makeup than space. So... before I purge and de-clutter, donate, gift, and toss some of my beauty items, I thought I'd do an inventory count (like a true accountant) of the mass that is my makeup. 

Sometimes all it takes is a little inspiration. I strive to have a collection like Gummy of Gummy Vision (see here) - it's well curated and neat and I'm nowhere near that stage. What I'm going to do within the next week is do a "Makeup Graveyard" type post like Tati of Glam Life Guru (see here), though my collection is not nearly as intimidating as hers. Essentially, she dumps one type of makeup on the floor and organizes it into three piles - donate, toss, and keep. 

I store my makeup in P&G #beautyunited black boxes and use old chocolate boxes as organizers within each larger box. A little overview of the collection... 

What is pictured below does not include (1) to-be-reviewed items (2) beauty "essentials" that I left back in Waterloo (Fall/Winter foundations, most of my blushes, loose coloured shadows, and a few lip products).

Okay... Well... That's that. The next step will be to make some piles, toss some stuff, figure out what I need, what I can't part with, what I don't need, and what I should give away. STAY TUNED FOR THAT! On another note...the lipstick box is a bit crazy. What human being can use more than 66 lippies up in a single lifetime? Not me, that's for sure.

Yes indeed, there are press samples featured in and around this post. I'm a beauty blogger. My hobby is photographing, testing, and playing with beauty products. I consider press samples as part of my collection because if they're good, I'll use them all the time and repurchase!
